Dr Renko Dirksen holds a doctorate in law and joined ARAG in 2005. ARAG is the largest family-owned company in the German insurance sector and the world’s leading legal insurer. After many years of leadership experience in various key areas of ARAG, he was appointed speaker of the Management Board in 2020 and Chairman of the Management Board of ARAG SE in 2025.

As an actor with a broad sphere of influence in the legal ecosystem, Philipp Eder is an expert on all matters relating to transformation, economic framework conditions and digital developments with AI in the legal tech/insurtech sector.

Prof. Matthias Grabmair conducts research and teaches in the area of applying methods involving artificial intelligence, natural language processing and knowledge representation to solve challenges in the areas of law, the judiciary and public administration. He studied law at the University of Augsburg and completed an LLM Programme at the University of Pittsburgh, where he also earned a PhD in the area of intelligent systems. He went on to spend four years (2015 to 2019) at the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and worked as a legal data scientist at SINC GmbH from 2019 to 2020. Since 2021, he has been at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and has been serving as Academic Co-Director of the Legal Tech Colab since 2024.

Bernhard Haslhofer is a research group leader at the Complexity Science Hub Vienna, and co-founder of Iknaio Cryptoasset Analytics, a spin-off specialising in blockchain analysis and cryptoasset forensics. As a court-certified expert in IT and cryptoasset forensics, he combines scientific research with practical application in battling financial crime in the field of digital currencies and decentralised finance systems (DeFi).

As a scholar of law, IT and linguistics Clemens Hufeld combines an understanding of the legal industry and the tech world. At Noxtua he is responsible for incorporating legal data, maintaining research quality and assessing the system’s output.

Lina Keßler works as legal counsel and as a legal designer and strategic consultant for organisations in the legal sector. She supports law firms, enterprises, the judiciary and public administration in redesigning their processes, products and structures to make these human-centric, systemic and impact-orientated. In 2018, she founded This is Legal Design, an innovation consultancy specialising in the legal sector. Since 2025, she has been a member of the board of Liquid Legal Institute e.V., where she enables cross-industry collaboration and creates space for change. In recognition of her pioneering work at the interface of law, design and innovation, she received the European Women of Legal Tech Award in 2020.

As a technology analyst, Philipp Klöckner sheds light on current trends and developments, among others in the Doppelgänger and OMR podcasts, and analyses their relevance for companies, markets and society. After a career in marketing and product development in Berlin’s start-up scene, he now works as a consultant for top-tier private equity firms and invests his own capital.

Astrid Kohlmeier is a lawyer, designer and international pioneer of the Legal Design innovation method, based near Munich. Her aim is to make legal content and processes digital, interactive and accessible to all. The entrepreneur provides consulting for in-house legal departments, law firms, judicial bodies and legislative institutions on the development of user-centric solutions. Astrid Kohlmeier is an executive faculty member and lecturer at the Bucerius Center on the Legal Profession, co-founder and supervisory board member of Liquid Legal Institute e.V., co-editor of the Legal Design Journal and a keynote speaker at pertinent international conferences. A co-author of “Das Legal Design Book”, she has recently published her new book “Das Legal Design Kit” and shares the extensive experience she has gained from working with more than 5,000 legal professionals.

Christian Kuß advises national and international clients on legal issues relating to digitalisation and information technology, as well as copyright and data protection law. A central focus of his work is advising clients on legal matters involving emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the metaverse. He also advises on the drafting and negotiation of IT contracts, licensing matters, and the (often contentious) resolution of disputes arising in IT projects.

Dr. Nils Rauer, MJI has been consulting on copyright issues and questions concerning digitalisation for more than 20 years. He has accompanied various test cases up to the European Court of Justice (ECJ). He is also co-editor of C.H.BECK’s Online Legal Commentary on Copyright Law (Beck’scher Online-Kommentar Urheberrecht). Nils Rauer is a partner and Global Co-Lead for Artificial Intelligence at the law firm Pinsent Masons.

I hold the Chair of IT Criminal Law and conduct research primarily on the subjects of artificial intelligence in law enforcement, crime and prosecution on the dark web and in cryptocurrency systems, as well as on international data exchange between law enforcement authorities.

Since 2021 I have been Chief Prosecutor and Head of Department at the Central Office for Cyber Crime Bavaria. We primarily investigate sophisticated criminal entities who use ransomware to attack companies in Bavaria and abroad in order to extort ransom payments.

Stefan Schicker is a lawyer and served as CEO of the law firm SKW Schwarz for several years. As a trusted advisor, he supports law firms and in-house legal departments in their strategic, organisational and practically orientated development – from modern law firm management and process optimisation all the way to the use of AI. His focus is on pragmatic innovation which strengthens structures and delivers sustainable impact.

Martina Seidl is the global lead of the areas of legal, compliance & export control and data protection as well as of the global HR department of an international technology group.
