I’m Ilka, a passionate host—energetic, witty, and charming on stage. My goal in my daily work is to inspire people and provide infotainment. I’ve hosted over 5,000 events since 2001. Starting at VIVA, I now work as a news anchor for “Hamburg 1 Aktuell” and a reporter for WELT, and I host events—in German and English—hybrid, digital, and live, focusing on topics such as digitalization, the automotive industry, artificial intelligence, finance, real estate, the metaverse, IT/cybersecurity, startups, and sustainability. I also share all my expertise from the stage as a coach for public speaking and body language. In 2020, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy honored me as an “Exemplary Entrepreneur.” In 2022, I received the “Digital Locations” award from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labor, Transportation, and Digitalization for my streaming studio, green screen studio, and sound studio. In 2020, I wrote my first book, “Empowerment: A Guide to a Fulfilling Life.” My second book, “Success Compass: Your Journey to Success,” was published in 2022. When I’m not on stage, sports are my passion: Ironman, 25 marathons, crossing the Alps, and much more are the challenges I continually set for myself. In addition to hosting, I launched my own music career in 2023. Since then, my pop-schlager songs like “Elektrisiert,” “Wir leben hoch,” and “Dreh di” have dominated the charts.
